STEP 3: INTERVIEW / ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT

Pre-Primary, Primary and Transitional Kindergarten: A brief Meet & Greet visit is scheduled for the child during the class work cycle. During this time the teacher will work one-on-one with the applicant and present some lessons using the Montessori materials. Visits usually last about 40 minutes.

Kindergarten: Applicants applying to Kindergarten take the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scales of Intelligence (WPPSI-III) as part of the Charlotte Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) applicant screening process. Please refer to the 2012-2013 CAIS brochure for specific details about this process.

After this time it can be administered on an individual basis, by contacting the Charlotte Preparatory School Admissions Office.  Please click here to register for the ISEE group testing.
