  • The Head of Lower School is the senior administrative leader of the Lower School division of Charlotte Preparatory School. The Head of Lower School successfully executes all administrative and executive roles in the Lower School while overseeing the educational program, implementing all school policies, procedures, and practices, and maintaining a strong, positive school culture.   • This is a full time, 12-month position. The role of Director of Community Life is to strengthen the Charlotte Prep community by serving as a liaison between its various stakeholder groups: Students, parents, staff, and the larger Charlotte community. The core of the position is built upon a Diversity and Inclusion foundation and the successful execution of the school’s programs in this area, including faculty recruitment, development and retention; student recruitment and retention, curriculum, and student life.

    The Director of Community Life will also have significant responsibilities supporting the leadership, service, and character development programs of the school, parent education, supporting the Parent Association in its work, and community outreach.   • This is a full time, 10-month position. Lower School teachers maintain a learning environment that supports the Charlotte Preparatory School mission statement and uphold the four pillars of leadership - Respect, Integrity, Perseverance, and Courage.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated individual to be a significant contributor to an outstanding faculty. He or she will work with other teachers and staff as a contributing team member to present a cooperative and positive work environment.

  • Part-Time After School Care Teachers

    Currently seeking dynamic, experienced teachers for regular part-time positions leading 2nd-3rd graders or 4th-8th graders in after-school activities for the 2017-2018 school year. Hours are 2:00-6:00 p.m. daily while school is in session, with some full-time days required on certain days the school is closed. ASC teachers help students with homework, plan and lead group activities, and supervise students during free-play times in a nurturing, safe environment.   • Part-time Substitute Teachers
